Countdown to Santa Sleigh

Knowle & Dorridge Santa Sleigh 2023

Knowle & Dorridge Round Table are proud to announce the dates and scheduled routes for the 2023 Santa Sleigh.

We are sharing this in the hope that the maximum number of children will
get to enjoy waving to Santa as he drives past their own front door on
his Sleigh! As they did last year, Santa’s elves will be knocking on doors, collecting food or cash donations that will then go to support local good causes and food banks. If you don’t have cash, then you can donate through SMS and online donations.

Santa would love to be with every child at 6.30 pm but he has to save
his magic for Christmas Eve, we hope staying up for him when he visits
your road will be worth it, even if it’s a little later than normal bed time.
We have a Facebook page www.facebook.com/KandDRT/ where you can keep up to date with Santa as circumstances sometimes foces him to change his plans at the last moment!

You can see full details of the route maps below.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved in Round Table please get in touch.

Knowle & Dorridge Round Table are proud to announce the dates and scheduled routes for the 2020 Santa Float collection. We are sharing this in the hope that the maximum number of children will get to enjoy waving to Santa as he drives past their own front door on his Sleigh! This year Santa will be doing things a little differently. His elves won’t be knocking on doors but they will be out in force ready to collect any donations that will support local good causes or food parcels that Santa will be passing onto local food banks and some families in the local area. Given everything that has happened this year, please do come to wave and say hello but it may be best not to get too close as we don’t want Santa or any of the Elves to get sick. Santa would love to be with every child at 6.30 pm but he has to save his magic for Christmas Eve, we hope staying up for him when he visits your road will be worth it if it’s a little later than normal bed time. We have a Facebook page www.facebook.com/KandDRT/ where you can keep up to date with Santa’s movements, since he sometimes has to change his plans at the last moment! You can see full details of the route maps below. If you have any questions or would like to get involved in Round Table please get in touch.

Donate Online

As we all carry less cash nowadays, we have set up more ways to donate.

Firstly, you can donate food towards the local food banks.

Secondly, you can simply send an SMS message with the letters KDRT to 70085 to donate £5.

We have also started to use an online charity platform, to enable donations by ApplePay, GooglePay and more. Our new donation page is here kdrt.donr.com/donate or scan the QR code.

Alternatively, if you use PayPal, we have a PayPal Donation page so that you can donate securely. Please click the donate button below to donate.

Please consider making an online donation if you are able.

As the sleigh is run by volunteers with the support of local groups and the generosity of local friends & businesses, the funds donated will go to good causes.

Thank you for your donation

Working Together

We will be working alongside the amazing volunteers at the St. George & St Teresa Parish SVP team, collecting food for the local food banks.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our helpers/elves will gladly accept donations of money and/or food.

Our elves will accept any money you give us on the night and some of the elves will be carrying card readers. This year we also have a donation webpage or alternatively you can donate by SMS.

Any money you donate we then use to support local good causes some of which you can see on our Support page. The food is donated to the local SVP team who then pass it onto those in need such as the Bethany Foodbank.

We will aim to start our routes at 6.30pm during the weekdays while our Sunday routes will start at 2.30pm. You are able to track us via the link we post on Facebook each night.

Each route is a different length but on average they are two hours long with the Sunday routes taking four hours.

Yes! Like last year, we are back to knocking on doors along with handing out sweets. Our elves will be regularly sanitising their hands throughout the event and any elf who is feeling unwell is advised not to join us until they are feeling better. To help us all stay safe, we would ask that anyone with Covid-19 symptoms or those with close contact to someone with symptoms, to please stay indoors so as to protect Santa and the elves, and keep Christmas safe this year.

Our dates we are visiting the various routes are detailed above. If your road is missing, please get in touch with us via Facebook or our Contact Us page.

While we will do our best to visit every road in the area there are a number of factors that may prevent us from visiting your road. For example, the size of the sleigh makes it very difficult to get down narrow lanes or turn around in some cul-de-sacs. We recommend keeping an eye on the Santa tracker page and if you are on a road we struggle to access, you can come and see Santa and his elves when they are close by.

Please Note

Our routes are strictly controlled by Solihull MBC, and have to take place between 6:30pm – 9pm in the evenings and from 2.30pm on Sundays.

Santa would love to be with every child at 6.30 pm but he has to save his magic for Christmas Eve, we hope staying up for him when he visits your road will be worth it, even if it’s a little later than normal bed time. We have a Facebook page www.facebook.com/KandDRT/ and a Santa Tracker page where you can keep up to date with Santa’s movements, since he sometimes has to change his plans at the last moment!
